Theme Linke-Yantra Competitions teach state-of-the-art practical skills using Project-Based Learning (ONLINE) through our unique MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses). This year’s eYRC themes sensitise participants to problems of using technology in agriculture.
We have 6 themes, each of which teaches futuristic skills to eventually be used to solve real problems. Each theme is targeted at teams of various levels of prior experience with particular skill sets.
A theme alternates between training in skills through tasks and then getting teams to compete in a problem based on those skills. Stage 1 of the competition trains in basic skills. In Stage 2 of Hardware-based themes, ONLY selected teams are admitted into this stage with hardware at e-Yantra cost.

Vargi & Sahayak Bots
Vargi Bots theme was based around automating a warehouse similar to that of Amazon or Flipkart. In this theme, whenever an order is placed, teams are supposed to find the item required for that order using machine vision, move a robotic arm (UR5) near it and grab the package.
Sahayak Bot theme was based around simulating an Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV) which would be capable of autonomously traversing an indoor environment. Here the robot would have to travel from one room to another, while picking up different objects using a robotic manipulator and simultaneously mapping its surroundings to avoid any collision with the walls, tables, etc.
