It gives an immense pleasure to welcome you all to Electrical Engineering Department, SFIT, the chrysalis where students are transformed into technological entrepreneurs and innovative leaders.

The prime motto of the department is to provide quality education through the student-centred teaching methodology. The excellent infrastructure, experienced and dynamic faculties guided by the college Principal, Dr.Sincy George, who has done her research in ‘Power Electronics and Power System’ are the strengths of the department. The students are given a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering along with the problem-solving techniques which will be helpful in clearing competitive exams like GATE, which is a qualified test for government jobs. The department encourages our students to develop new project ideas, which would be useful in the day to day life. They are also encouraged to undergo winter/summer internship in companies related to electrical stream. In a nutshell, the department is a motivation to the Electrical Engineering students in shaping up their destiny by keeping high aims of global competitive technocrats. The universal human value education and social outreach programmes in the college mould our students as good Samaritans of our country. Various seminars, industrial visits and guest lectures are arranged in the department to bridge the gap between the academics and industry. We train our students to excel in various fields with the help of all modern teaching methods and advanced laboratory facilities developed by the faculties of electrical department.
